Ajalta: Candy + Prinssi Candy tapaa kukkulalla nuoren pojan, jota hän alkaa kutsumaan kukkulan prinssikseen, (Myöhemmin hän tuntee prinssin Albertina).
Candy on pahoilla mielin Annielta saamastaan kirjeestä, ja sen takia juoksee ponykukkulalla itkien. Hän kaatuu maahan, ja vavahtaa siihen kun tuntematon Prinssi soittaa säkkipilliä. Tämä ilahduttaa Candyn itkuisesta olostaan, iloiseen, jolloin Prinssi kertoo Candylle tämän olevan nätimpi silloin kun hymyilee, kuin silloin kun itkee.
Prinssi katoaa, Candyn etsiessä Annielta saamaansa kirjettä. (Tämän jälkeen Candy näkee Prinssin vasta sarjan viimeisessä jaksossa).
Kun Candy tajuaa prinssin olevan poissa, hän huomaa maassa jonkun kimaltavan. Ja näin hän löysi ''Prinssin merkin''. Tämä on Candyn ensimmäinen aarre, ja auttaa häntä aina kun on paha olla.
Timeline: Candy + Prince
Candy meets a young boy in a kilt, by the Ponyhill. She starts to call him the Ponyhill prince. (Later, she knows the prince as Albert.)
Candy is sad about a letter she got from Annie, and is crying and running towards the Ponyhill. She collapses, but is awakened by the sound of bagpipes. This noise makes Candy to be happy, instead of sad. That's when the Prince tells Candy, that she is more beautiful smiling, than crying.
The prince disappears while Candy is looking for the letter that Annie sent her. (After this, she sees the prince next time, on the last episode of the series).
When Candy realizes that the prince is gone, she sees something shiny in the ground, and when picking it up, its a pendant with an A in it. Candy calls it the prince's pendant. This is her first treasure, and it makes her always feel better about everything.
